Convatec Experts
client : Business Stratégie Communication Category : DevelopmentAn ambitious project: Convatec Experts is a PC / Mac / iOs / Android software that allows Convatec salespeople to schedule videoconferences with nurses to discuss and carry out clinical case studies in 3d. These case studies are punctuated by qcm and the answers are given either by an avatar, or by the facilitator himself via the video. The software is controlled at each of the users by the animator. The exchanges take place directly. Scores are counted individually. The animator has the possibility to trigger a case from a list of available cases and to monitor its progress as it goes. Users can vote to select the case they prefer, manipulate the 3d to, of course, respond to the questions asked.
The different versions of the software (Windows, Osx, iOs, Android) are compatible with each other. The software was developed under Unity 2021.1.x, exchanges between users is provided by Photon engine (PUN), and video conferencing by webcam by Agora. Identification is provided by an online web service. This software is an internal software reserved for Convatec professionals.
This project took me a lot of work to put everything in place. The cases are dynamically loaded by Addressables which allows the cases to evolve and to add more later.
The compilation of the different versions is ensured by Unity Cloud Build which saved me some precious time.
Field of View visualizer
http://u3d.as/hZC Category : DevelopmentFOV visualizer is an asset for Unity 3d I've just developed wich simply allow to display camera field of view accurately in 3d space. Normally, the camera fov is only visible while in editor and the camera is selected. So, this asset extends the Unity camera's functionnalities for games or serious gaming.More infos on Unity Asset Store.

Unity 3d water test
Category : NoneDynamic water test under Unity 3d. The duck is floating by using the principles of Archimedes. The water surface is controled in part by the module MegaFiers. Touch the surface of the water, and try to change its density with the slider... (Unity 3d webplayer needed).
A piece of Unity ?
Category : NoneI've declined the 3d model made in Zbrush a few weeks ago in a low poly version to try to get something similar in Unity. A good facture of sub sufrace scattering is difficult to get in real time, and the result is certainly not up to the original model precalculated, but the shaders transcribe well the glazed appareance. Let's play with the density for the most improbable results ... (Unity 3d webplayer needed)
Augmented reality with Android
Category : NoneI have not tested the Android Augmented Reality in Flash ... the 3d is still quite sluggish on android. Recognition algorithms would put the CPU to its knees without any doubt. However, the last test with Unity impressed me, and I decided to test it with the excellent library of Qualcomm augmented reality for Unity. The system is still unstable, i expected much more, so the tests are encouraging. (Android 2.3.3 (gingerbread) - Samsung Galaxy S)
Coffee cup
Category : NoneUnity 3D is a very powerful 3d engine, but what about mobile ? I haven't had a chance to test it on iPhone, but Android is quite impressive. I quickly modeled a simple model, coded a few lines in order to manipulate the object, and I must say that so much fluidity is quite exciting. My previous tests with an 3d flash sotfware engine were rather sluggish. The first tests with Molehill Away3d are very impressive. I look forward to compare both engines ....( Android 2.3.3 (gingerbread) Samsung Galaxy S).
