Wish (3d streaming)

client : Talent Making Talent https://2020.wish.org.qa/ Category : Development

As part of an unfortunately aborted project, I worked on an interactive event for professionals from the pharmaceutical / medical sector in Qatar. Sanitary conditions meant that the show experience could be replicated online for guests who were invited and who could not attend.
I worked on the 3d development part. The show has been virtually modeled to allow the user to move around and access the various features and sections of the site (chat, live video conferences, various resources, etc.). We used Furioos technology for 3d. This technology allows real-time 3d streaming. Concretely, the 3d is calculated on the Furioos servers and displayed to the users. The undeniable advantage is that it is possible to obtain a "PC" type rendering quality on mobile. The result was quite interesting. The project was therefore developed with Unity 3d 2019.x URP + Furioos.
Unfortunately, for reasons of timing, the 3d version of the project was aborted.

Lautaret's root

client : Le Naturographe Category : Graphics

As part of an exhibition hall layout. The Naturographe asked me to model in 3d, under his Artistic direction, a stylized root. This element will be placed in the center of the exhibition hall of the Galerie de l'Alpe in the Alpine Garden, at the Lautaret in Villar d'Arène (France/05). It will also serve as a seat for the visitors. The structure is just over 6 meters high and is made of wood and metal.
Images are rendered with Maverick Studio.
This root and all its surrounding elements have been virtually anticipated with a virtual reality application for Oculus Go.

Rove 3d (Aston Martin)

Category : Graphics

Rove 3d is an asset for Unity 3d wich can make (nearly) realtime renders in pathtracing. The result is very similar to what Vray can make. The asset is still experimental and lacks a lot of features, but it's very promising. The render is very good, very fast, and one can imagine original apps specially for interior rendering. I'm working on a video about this wich will be available soon.

Cup of tea

Category : Graphics

A little rendering training of a cup of tea. the spoon has been modeled with Zbrush, the rest with 3d Studio max. The rendering has been done with Arion. Although the logic of materials is very close to that of Maxwell render, the texture of sugars was difficult to obtain (by SSS mainly). I wanted to also test the quality of the displacement from Arion (engravings on the spoon). I have to say that the result is quite interesting, but relatively slow computing. Gain memory is however significant compared to the full poly model (which is primary for GPU rendering).
