VFX Graph underwater effect
Category : NoneStill in the context of my Visual Graph tests from Unity 3d, I tried the point cache system. It still lacks functionality and a few bugs remain, but the whole thing works pretty well. The possibilities are numerous, and many explorations still necessary...
The underwater effect is mainly given by the movement of particles and especially by post Fx (fog, color correction, distortion, chromatic aberration, vigneting ...).
Fracture (massFx test)
Category : NoneIt's been a long time since I wanted to test the famous 3d studio max massFx module. This module dates back a little, but I wanted to compare it with its predecessor, the Havoc physics engine. It is definitely easier to use, and better integrated to the UI of 3ds. For the accuracy and the computation time, it has nothing to envy to the old module.More smoke (fumeFx) and particles would have made it more realistic, but I sorely lacking time.
