Stylized root (Lautaret France)
client : Le Naturographe Category : DevelopmentAs part of the development of an exhibition hall for the Galerie de l'Alpe in the Alpine Garden, at the Col du Lautaret in Villar d'Arène (France), I developed, at a preliminary stage (during the design of the room), a virtual reality application on Oculus Go to help better visualizing the volumes, arrangements, and spaces.
The application was developed under Unity 3d 2018 (C#) for Oculus Go (LWRP).
(Excuse the poor quality of the video that was recorded on mobile via the Oculus. The linear color mode is causing problems when recording).
Unity 3d automation system
client : Kalimind Category : DevelopmentKalitouch is an iOs apps to manage home automation system from Kalimind. The system is based on XML sockets and controls different systems and equipments in the house. I developed an independant Unity pc module for demonstrations purposes in shows. The interaction on the Kalitouch client application controls equipment in virtual apartment. Orders are relayed by a Linux server via XML sockets to Unity. Unity software is responsible for applying the changes, updates, and cameras movements required. Management of day and night, ambiant light, dynamic lights, colored spotlight, video, live webcam are some elements that have been incorporated into this Unity software. Camera movements are controled via tweening (iTween) and keyframing. The project was developed in C#.
Unity 3d Light probe
Category : NoneThe light probe system integrated in Unity Pro 3.5 is very interesting. It optimizes the performance. The principle is fairly simple: the lights are sampled in space. This sampling is used to dynamically simulate the subtleties of illumination on non-statics objects. Associated with lightmapping and ambient occlusion (which is not done, however, to optimize performances), the result is quite efficient. No light is required. In this example, the same scene is used in this configuration, and normal lighting (+ shadows). Note that the performance gain is detrimental to the memory load of course. (Unity webplayer required)
Element 3d - test 2
Category : NoneA new test of the new exciting after effect plugin : Element 3d from videocopilot.net. The multi-object system is very interesting. Unfortunatly, the textures management has much room for improvement mainly for imported objects. But this tool provides a 3d result in a very fast way.

Away 3d with Android
Category : NoneThe arrival of Flash on Android allows to use the 3D engine of adobe's API. So I tried with the engine that seems best suited to support mobile Away3d lite. The engine is light and powerful. However, it is, like all other current 3d engines in flash: only software ... which means that only the processor calculates all the 3d ... no openGL ES ... the 3D works, but it is quite sluggish. Not yet possible to use a larger mesh. It was the case on desktop pc, but on mobile the limitation is really heavy.
