Sanofi CPLF 2022 Hololens

client : Business Stratégie Communication Category : Development

Hololens application for Sanofi Genzyme (via Business Stratégie Communication) on the occasion of the CPLF 2022 exhibition in Lilles (France). The application was developed for the Microsoft headset and intended for doctors at the show. It allows, thanks to augmented reality, the doctor to discover and diagnose a case of severe type II asthma.

The video capture does not pay tribute to the device because unfortunately Unity's URP (Universal Render Pipeline) is not properly supported for transparency at capture and black spots appear. Unfortunately, this does not correspond to the holographic effect that can be observed in the helmet. Let's hope that Microsoft/Unity fixes this pitfall quickly.

The MRTK library makes it possible to quickly and fairly easily use the features of the headset (management of hand controllers, voice recognition, iris detection, display of 3d in augmented reality space, close and remote interactions, scan of 3d environment, 3d occlusion etc...).

Made with Unity 2021.1.28f1 + MRTK 2.7.3 on Microsoft Hololens 2 headset

VFX Graph underwater effect

Category : None

Still in the context of my Visual Graph tests from Unity 3d, I tried the point cache system. It still lacks functionality and a few bugs remain, but the whole thing works pretty well. The possibilities are numerous, and many explorations still necessary...
The underwater effect is mainly given by the movement of particles and especially by post Fx (fog, color correction, distortion, chromatic aberration, vigneting ...).

3d printing

Category : Graphics

Working on virtual models is fine, but make them real, is much better.
After scanning in 3d a character with a low end 3d scanner, a bit of manual retouch with Zbrush, I've tried to print it in 3d with a 3d printer (Creality CR10-S). The print height is 15 cm and it has been printed in PLA in 0.15mm. A layer of varnish has been applied to erase a little the stratas effect produced by the printer as thin as it is. The print lasted about 24h, and the result is rather faithful to the original model. Only the 3d scanner is pretty approximate by its quality.Nevertheless, it allowed me to roughly catch the basic forms of the model.
An interesting experience in short.

New logo developpeur3d.com

Category : Graphics

After nearly 10 years,a new logo was necessary. This version, deliberately very close to the Unity 3d's logo, and more sober than the previous logo, indicates the orientations of the site taken for those past 10 years: 3d development and rigor. The logo has been modeled in 3d of course, and exists especially in CAD model for a possible 3d printing (which may be the subject of a future post in the lab section) ... Stay tuned

Oculus Go virtual tour

Category : Development

After the Samsung Gear VR, I just finished a confidential virtual tour project with Oculus Go. Although I cannot communicate on it, this project will have allowed me to perfect a little more my VR virtual tours system that I developed under Unity 3d C# (based on videos and 360 photos).I'm trying to improve this system regularly in order to be able to respond quickly and efficiently to most requests on the subject.

Voyages en Résistances

client : Petit Homme Production https://www.voyagesenresistances.fr/ Category : Development

After a hard work, here is indeed Voyages en Résistances, which I developed. It's an educative game on Android / iOs (smartphones) which allow to incarnate a french resistant during WWII, to build up or to integrate a network, and to accomplish missions in augmented reality. The goal is to grow the network, and go through the gestapo's net. A rich learning of what were the risks for a resistant during world war 2... The application is also including educational contents. Some will be scattered all over France. Go and look for them. The application is free and available on respectives stores Google Play and Apple Store.

SSR Candela v3

Category : None

Behind this barbarian word (Screen Space Reflection) hides a technique of dynamic reflection on 3d surface. The reflections are calculated in real time on the camera level. The effect is very efficient but limited to camera space only. Everything wich is behind the camera field of view, is not taken into account. Candela has just released v3 of their asset wich fix this issue in a certain way. The result is quite convincing. Here are some comparative screens.
